It’s now legal for men to use women’s bathrooms, showers, and dressing facilities – and vice-versa – thanks to the passing of the Equal Rights Ordinance in Houston, TX.
Mayor Parker, Houston’s first openly gay mayor, called it “most personally meaningful thing I will ever do as mayor.”
The ordinance’s stated goal is to eliminate discrimination in housing and employment for gays, transgenders – 14-characteristics in total – including race, ethnicity, age, religion and disability.

The is discrimination of straight people, I would sue if I lived there. I do not want any men in a bathroom with me or my children.
SHAME ON TEXAS!
Tell me how that’s working out for your daughter.
When Parker goes to the “ladies room” a bunch of males should follow her in. OOPS — she has a private bathroom.

Well, this just gives me more reason to carry my weapon of choice with me where ever I go, even the fvcking bathroom. This is going too far folks… How many here would like 5 minutes alone with this mayor? So every time when my daughter goes to the restroom (in public), I’ll be in there with her, with my gun by my side.
I dont think the law ever said there had to be different restrooms for different genders, just has to be certain amount of plumbing for building capacity. Pretty sure there is and was no law saying women cant use mens rooms and vice versa, it was just a common courtesy thing.
this is a ridiculous law and has the ability to cause increases in assault and rape. he is an idiot!
I bet the amount of rapes sky rocket. How stupid can one person be and Texas is giving her a paycheck for being a moron?
