House Votes Unanimously that ISIS is Committing Genocide Against Christians

Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan (R-Wisc), made a statement after the unanimous vote by the House declaring ISIS atrocities against Christians as genocide, declaring:

“What is happening in Iraq and Syria is a deliberate, systematic targeting of religious and ethnic minorities. Today, the House unanimously voted to call ISIS’s atrocities what they are: a genocide. We also will continue to offer our prayers for the persecuted.”

“What is happening in Iraq and Syria is a deliberate, systematic targeting of religious and ethnic minorities.”
Not that a resolution will stop the killings, but at least there is a united front in Congress to force the Obama administration to make a stand to defend Christians who are dying at the hands of radical Islam.   This administration has been put on notice, as they were given a deadline, this Thursday, to “determine if the Islamic State’s actions amount to genocide.”

Last week, White House press secretary Josh Earnest told The Blaze that President Barack Obama has aggressively defended Christians and that won’t change regardless of if the State Department calls the targeting genocide.

“This is something the State Department is continuing to look at but certainly has not in anyway delayed the administration taking aggressive action to protect religious minorities that are being targeted by ISIL, including Christians that we know are being targeted by ISIL in that region of the world,” Earnest said.

Is it unreasonable to point out that the Obama administration does not take a stand for Christians in this country, so to get them to condemn and take a stand for Christians elsewhere just may not happen?  The conflict is real inside Obama, his Muslim roots play havoc with the Christian traditions that America was founded upon.  To take a stand for Christianity, against albeit a radicalized form of Islam, must create a moral struggle within the man.

Unfortunately, this resolution, though late as it is and as important as it is, still will not stop the blood shed.  Ink and paper cannot stop a radical, hate-filled ideology, that desires death to America and Israel.
