The world food supply has been greatly threatened by Colony Collapse Disorder, CCD, of honey bees. But Harvard University has a short-term solution: robot bees.
Nearly one-third of the world’s crops are dependent on bee pollination. Without honey bees there would be no fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, cotton, coffee, chocolate, etc.
The main culprit of CCD, which began in 2006, seems to be the pesticide neonicotinoid produced by Monsanto and used in GMOs – genetically modified crops. A recent study by the Bulletin Of Insectology does show a link between this pesticide and CCD.

I found this poor bumble bee frozen on a petal as I walked to work at 7 and this morning… I never like bees because I was allergic but now it makes me sad that they are becomeing extinct. The thing I hated is now the thing I want to love and bring back…
Scary
I was on the Island of Ibiza on the Mediterranean last weak. I was eating a steak outside and 3 bees came along flying around my steak. I just watched them do their thing. They each took a chunk of steak (the size of their head) and flew away!! I’ve never seen this before, are they carnivore?
And the bill will be paid for by ——— ?

The Italian honey bees have a fungus that is killing them and the Dept. of Ag has been releasing two other fungus immune bees into the wild for some years. We have a huge population of German bees here in Oklahoma and they have actually been cross breeding with the Italian bees. Remember…..there were NO BEES in North America until the Europeans brought the Italian bees over here. We have wild German bee colonies in our woods and they are more tolerate of the cold as well. Move along…..nothing to see here…..go home and read something and educate yourselves, people.
