The world food supply has been greatly threatened by Colony Collapse Disorder, CCD, of honey bees. But Harvard University has a short-term solution: robot bees.
Nearly one-third of the world’s crops are dependent on bee pollination. Without honey bees there would be no fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, cotton, coffee, chocolate, etc.
The main culprit of CCD, which began in 2006, seems to be the pesticide neonicotinoid produced by Monsanto and used in GMOs – genetically modified crops. A recent study by the Bulletin Of Insectology does show a link between this pesticide and CCD.

These engineers must be smokin and token! How many billions of bees do they seriously think they can replace!!? wouldn’t it make more sense to stop Monsanto??!! Oh I forgot the millions of $$$$ in campaign bribes…I mean donations :~))
Don’t believe everything you read. In Oct. of 2012 at the National Stakeholder’s Conference on Honey Bee Health, Researchers listed the items of concern dealing with Bee Health. Number one on the list was Parasites. Varroa Tracheal Mites. This mite is the number one cause of Bee Deaths in the World. Two. Nutritional Deficiencies. Three. Disease…Nosema Bacteria. Four. Weather. Five. Beekeeper Practices. Six. Genetic Weakness. Seven Pesticides. Eight. Queen Issues. This was from the top people studying Bee’s. Monsanto is having a problem with the Bee’s but they are nowhere near the top for this issues. Just FYI to everyone. Don’t drink the Cool-aid too quickly, we’ve seen what’s it’s done to our Country. Be informed.
