At a Home Depot, in Spokane Valley in Washington State, a Veteran was at the register and politely asked for his Vet discount, showing his Veteran ID. The young man at the register told him that Home Depot does not “do that anymore”. The Veteran asked to speak with management, over comes an entitled type mentality manager, who is rude.
He tells the Veteran that “Corporate is tightening up on those type things.” Luckily, a good Patriot was in line behind the Vet, and when told to go to another line, he said “I’ll just stay here to see what happens”.
see what actions we can take to help the Vet next page
I worked at Home Depot for two years. They said you can only give the discounts to the veterans that said on their card “service connected”. I just gave the discount anyway even if it didn’t say that. That’s ridiculous to argue over that.
Boycott home depot now….
sad
If possible, shop at Ace, they are very pro-veteran and you don’t get that “big box store coldness” you know, having to run down 11 ales looking for an invisible employee!
Snopes got busted for lying.lol
These businesses need to stop hiring democrats
I have not liked The Home Depot for quite some time, I always prefer Lowe’s and they do offer a military discount here.
Idiots thrive !!!
The Home Depot in Olean, NY only gives Veterans Discounts if the Vet has a VA Card that indicates “SERVICE CONNECTED” whereas the Lowe’s in NW Pa and Western NY APPRECIATE ALL VETS!
This is nothing new. I have been treated the same way and mind you I spend plenty especially when I own a home. I do not go to Home Depot unless it is something that I cannot get somewhere else. Home Depot can kiss it.
