At a Home Depot, in Spokane Valley in Washington State, a Veteran was at the register and politely asked for his Vet discount, showing his Veteran ID. The young man at the register told him that Home Depot does not “do that anymore”. The Veteran asked to speak with management, over comes an entitled type mentality manager, who is rude.
He tells the Veteran that “Corporate is tightening up on those type things.” Luckily, a good Patriot was in line behind the Vet, and when told to go to another line, he said “I’ll just stay here to see what happens”.

Unless a military veteran has an military ID card showing they are active, retired, reservist, and possibly disabled a veteran doesn’t get the discount except on Veterans Day. It’s the same for almost any business that gives a veteran discount. Some don’t give a discount unless the member is currently active.
