“My Grandparents Came Over Here”
Hillary Clinton wants voters to believe she’s clever and astute, but she also likes to play for public sympathy, even when it takes a lie to do so.
Perhaps trying to seem closer to Americans whose families immigrated from abroad to settle in the ‘States, she invented her own ancestry. “All my grandparents, you know, came over here, and you know my grandfather went to work in a lace mill in Scranton, Pa., and worked there until he retired at 65. He started there when he was a teenager and just kept going. So I sit here and I think well you’re talking about the second, third generation. That’s me, that’s you.”
Later, a Clinton spokesman admitted to the “error,” saying her “grandparents always spoke about the immigrant experience and, as a result she has always thought of them as immigrants.” Only Hillary’s paternal grandfather was born in England. Her other three grandparents were born in the United States, which she certainly knows.
The gullible keep on feedin’ at the media trough.
Chris Delfs Your name “Wagner,” bub? I wasn’t replying to you, but to the Clinton clone who parroted the “I’m with her” line.
If you’re drunk, perhaps.
Excellent use of sarcasm, many will miss it. Kudos!
David Malbuff Funny. You don’t seem to mention the gold stars though? No surprise. I ameorking overtime tonight. A greater sacrifice than losing a child to war right?
