Not only did Hillary insult the students and faculty that had just been host to her, but she was also unable to comment on her own contradictions, once again proving how unfit she is to be running for a term in the White House.
Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton lashed out at America’s gun culture on Wednesday in the wake of a double-murder that played out on live television – but made her remarks just an hour after appreciatively touring a technical college facility where students have learned how to build firearms.
Appearing at the Des Moines Area Community College campus in Ankeny, Iowa, Clinton told reporters that shootings like the one that claimed the lives of a TV reporter and her cameraman could be prevented ‘if guns were not so readily available.’
She called a series of gun homicides a case of ‘incredible killing that is stalking our country.’
The press conference followed a speech on agriculture policy, which was preceded by a tour of the two-year college’s tool and die shop, where instructors proudly told DailyMail.com – as Clinton admired the machinery – that some of their former students have gone on to become gunsmiths.
Clinton had begun to leave the stage after taking only three reporters’ questions, but returned to the podium in response to a shouted question from DailyMail.com.
‘We have got to do something about gun violence in America,’ she said in a rare unscripted moment. ‘And I will take it on.’
Americans, she said, ‘are smart enough, we are compassionate enough to figure out how to balance the legitimate Second Amendment rights with preventive measures and control measures so that whatever motivated this murderer, who eventually took his own life, we will not see more deaths — needless, senseless deaths.’
Clinton insisted that deaths could be prevented ‘if guns were not so readily available.’
She reportedly hopes to make an embrace of stricter gun control laws one of many planks in her presidential platform, if she survives a series of scandals related to her time in the Obama administration and clinches her party’s White House nomination.
At this point, the fact that people are actually planning on voting for her is astounding. She’s the last person that should be talking about preventing violence. How many people have died or had their lives ruined because of the endless number of scandals that she’s been involved in? If Benghazi is any indication of her violence prevention efforts, America is in for a rough ride.
