Hillary’s first problem is that the “Alt-Right” is not terribly easy to define. Hillary should know better than to try to rally her supporters around a concept that’s tough to grasp, partly because it doesn’t have a firm definition. And even if it did have a definition that was widely accepted, that wouldn’t have helped her anyway because her supporters didn’t have the slightest idea what she was talking about when she tried to excoriate the “Alt-Right.”
The “Alt-Right” is a term that is foreign to even the most ardent Clinton supporter. They cannot connect it with anything. About the best they can do is offer their confidence that if Hillary is against it, then it must be bad. And then watch Hillary try to connect it to “white supremacism” and Trump as you can watch in the video below.
Mr. Trump, on the other hand, uses terms people understand very well. He has no problems dispatching Hillary and her accusations of bigotry.
We are in for quite a treat when these two meet for their debates. That is assuming Hillary is up to the challenge.
