Coach Joe Kennedy leads by example. Since 2oo8, after each game, he heads to the 50 yard line and says a quick prayer for the school and the football players. Initially it was only him, spending a few moment alone in prayer, but over the years students have joined him in his ritual.
But now, he has been fired for what the school district sees as violation of school district policy.
Coach Kennedy see this as a violation of his Constitutionally protected right to pray and has decided to demonstrate to his students how to stand up for what they believe.
Find out how Coach Kennedy is fighting back on page two.
Insanity
Our government is coaching wrong these days. I don’t agree with government officials taking prayer out of everything. I say that meaning. If that’s bad don’t know what’s good. Sounded different than I thought by posting it. Sorry if anyone took it wrong.
They are special. Our rules don’t apply to them I guess.Prayers should never been banned from our schools. We have been the silent majority for fare too long and let loud mouthed bullies walk all over our rights.Time to change that before e Realy do become a Muslim Country as Obama insists we are.
NOT RIGHT
Why not have a prayer in.!!! Instead of a sit in everyone can kneel and pray.
You are exactly right!
Way to go Coach Kennedy for filing a complaint against the school for infringing on your civil rights. This school deserves everything that it has coming from this court complaint in my opinion.
Have a peaceful protest and everyone hold hands and pray in all the schools and in front of government buildings.
There is a college that has removed all Christian artists from their chapel and turned it into a Muslim pray room.
“Nor prohibit the free exercise therof.”
