Hewlett Packard CEO Meg Whitman leveled some serious charges against GOP frontrunner Donald Trump and his policy proposals this past Friday.
Speaking on CNBC’s “Speaking on the Street”, Whitman claimed that Trump’s plan to put a 35% percent tariff on goods from Mexico and China would not only start a trade war, but also spark another recession just after the country recovered from the last one.
She went even further, accusing the real estate tycoon of not understanding the law of unintended consequences and being oblivious to the effects of what he is suggesting the nation should do.
It should be noted that Whitman served on the campaign of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who recently suspended his bid for the Republican nomination before throwing his support behind Trump. Going by her comments on CNBC, she couldn’t disagree more with her former boss about the Donald.

PRESIDENT TRUMP.

VICE PRESIDENT JUDGE JEANINE PIRRO
ALL THE WAY TO THE PEOPLE’S HOUSE
EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ THIS AND PASS IT ON… DONALD TRUMP’S TAKE ON OBAMACARE AND WHAT HE WILL DO. A VERY GOOD PLAN! The seven parts of Trump’s proposal included:
1. Ask Congress to completely repeal Obamacare, including the individual mandate. “No person should be required to buy insurance unless he or she wants to.”
2. Modify existing laws to allow for the sale and purchase of health insurance plans across state lines. “By allowing full competition in this market, insurance costs will go down and consumer satisfaction will go up.”
3. Make health insurance premium payments fully deductible on an individual’s tax return in the same way that businesses are allowed to deduct their premium payments.4. Permit individuals and families to use tax-free Health Savings Accounts. These accounts would not only be allowed to accumulate, but also be transferable and inheritable, and would be flexible enough to use on behalf of other family members if necessary.
5. Require transparency in pricing by health care providers and health care organizations, such as insurance companies, doctors, hospitals and clinics. “Individuals should be able to shop to find the best prices for procedures, exams or any other medical-related procedure.”
6. Convert Medicaid funding into block grants to the states. “The state governments know their people best and can manage the administration of Medicaid far better without federal overhead.”
7. Remove barriers to entry in the pharmaceutical drug industry. Making pharmaceutical drugs more of a competitive free market would bring down prices and improve safety and reliability by allowing consumers more options to fill their prescription drug needs.
Of course, the success of all of these steps are contingent upon some of Trump’s other policy plans being put into place as well, such as fully enforcing immigration laws, rooting out waste and abuse, and setting up the economy for success with lower tax rates and less regulation, all of which will relieve pressures on the health care industry and free up money for consumers to spend.
The next time someone tells you that Donald Trump has no plan for repealing Obamacare and allowing it to be replaced by free market competition, simply direct them to Trump’s plan as published on his own website, where it can be viewed in all of its detail.

There’s been a trade war going on, as usual you morons are in the dsrk.
Criminals
What a retard. We need a trade war.
You really don’t need to read the article to understand what is going on here. Trump will enact protectionist import laws that will severly down size profits realized through 3rd world manuafacturing. Forcing companies like HP to return manufacturing jobs to America. Higher production costs will require price increases which of course reduce profits. Look forward to import tariffs, raising the price of imports, but chasing jobs back to American soil. Up until the social security tax was enacted the federal government was totally funded by tariffs.
Typical liberal elite rhetoric lies.
