SHERMAN OAKS, California: A driver suspected of operating his Ford Mustang under the influence of alcohol or narcotics had his car halted by a motivated who assisted police by making a citizen’s arrest. Instead of standing on the sidewalk watching the ridiculous slow-speed pursuit involving at least six police cars, this do-gooder risked injury by standing in the path of the slow-moving car.
As you can see in the video, his ploy worked. As police watched, the civilian hauled the driver to one of the squad cars and placed him on the hood. But the police had a surprise for the civilian who had just helped end the situation.
Check out the video on the next page to see the civilian’s surprising ‘reward’:
This reporter is obviously mistaken. If that civilian was truly unstable, NBC would have hired him as a commentator.
This comment isn’t about the story, which is a decent story. It’s about your shitty design choice. WHY do you put the video on another page? I don’t want to waste the extra data and time to load a second page. No one does. It’s a terrible choice aesthetically, and it irritates SO many people. I’ve discussed it with at least fifty others that I know, and there are definitely far more who feel this way. It helps no one, and annoys many. Please fix this stupid decision.
The commentators sound like the unstable ones to me.
The print is way too small to read. The page is a jumbled mess, needs more order to read articles. I hope it improve or I won’t stay. Thank you.
why are the police so stupid? do they really think that maybe this guy might be involved or something? ridiculous
Dead video link
I think they didn’t like it because it made all of them look dumb.
Guy looked nuts. Probably drunk. Ever consider that? Not like they needed the help. That guy had no clue if the suspect was armed or whatever. What if the guy was a friend and handed him something? It ended well but to many negative scenarios.
