The police reacted quickly once the civilian arrested the driver and placed him on the squad car’s hood. They approached with guns drawn and cuffed the driver.
Then, they proceeded to cuff and arrest the do-gooder! He was later released, but it seems like the police must have been tuned in to the NBC affiliate station feeding the commentary on the broadcast. Somehow, the announcer wants viewers to believe that helping peacefully end such a fiasco makes one ‘unstable’.
Is it ‘unstable’ to step up and halt a crime in progress when a half dozen police cars can’t?

I like this post: The twist ending to this citizen’s arrest is strange, but get a load of what the reporter seems to think of the do-gooder who helped the cops:…
Police arrest the do gooder because they don’t want anyone to get involved in any way.
I feel the man unarmed was more efficient
Cops wonder why so many people don’t trust them or like them
