Harry Reid: Trump is “Emboldening Forces of Hate And Bigotry”

Seemingly attempting to outdo the most outlandish comments made by many of his fellow liberals, outgoing Democratic Senate leader Harry Reid launched a vitriolic attack on Donald Trump and the Republican Party, blaming them for what he describes as “emboldening” racism and bigotry. Reid’s attack is comparable only to his earlier calls for intelligence agencies to provide Trump with fake intel so as to keep him in the dark about national security:

“While Hillary Clinton in her concession said of Trump that ‘we owe him an open mind and a chance to lead,’ and several Democrats, including the president, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren also made conciliatory statements in response to the ugliest presidential election in decades, that was not the path that Reid took. In a statement Friday, the outgoing Nevada senator said Trump’s election has ’emboldened the forces of hate and bigotry in America.’

He lamented that ‘white nationalists, Vladimir Putin and ISIS are celebrating Donald Trump’s victory, while innocent, law-abiding Americans are wracked with fear – especially African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Muslim Americans, LGBT Americans and Asian Americans.’”
