The latest city to be struck by terror is Hamburg, which saw authorities evacuate the local airport after an unknown toxin was reported to have spread throughout the facility. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack so far, but law enforcement has determined the toxin was spread through the air circulation system. No deaths have been reported yet, but at least 68 people suffering from breathing difficulties and irritated eyes are being treated:
“We have cancelled all flight at least until 2 p.m. (1300GMT) and most parts of the airport have been evacuated,” she said.
Some 68 people were treated by the emergency services at the scene, and a total of nine were taken to hospital. A fire brigade spokesman said a pepper spray cartridge was found in a passenger area, which was beleived to have been discharged into the air conditioning system.”
