A couple who have lived in Miami Shores for over 17 years is suing the city after being threatened with steep fines for the way they keep their front yard. The trouble came after Miami Shores changed its zoning laws two years ago and insisted Hermine Ricketts and her husband Tom Carroll remove their vegetable garden. The city was serious, threatening a $50 per day fine.

This is stupid – People in the 30’s and 40’s had Victory Gardens in their yards and nothing was said until now. Sue the damn Government and have all your neighbors start one. It is better for you when you know what you have in front of you then what you are getting from foreign Countries of the World. Would you like to open a small business cleaning homes or washing cars? Gotta get government permission.
