Ted Cruz might have ‘won’ the battle in Iowa, but it doesn’t look like he’s on his way to winning the war in the next battleground state.
Surprising many, the Texas senator managed to come out on top on Monday’s Republican primary, beating frontrunner Donald Trump by a small-but-sound margin. The results were highly controversial, with some conservatives contesting their validity and pondering if the GOP establishment got it’s hands dirty helping Cruz so as to keep Trump from getting anywhere near the party’s nod.
Cruz supporters point to their candidate’s popularity amongst Christians in general and evangelicals in particular as the reason for his success, with Iowa being home to any number of professed Christians. Unfortunately for Cruz, this advantage is likely to do little for him in New Hampshire.
Unlike the solidly religious state of Iowa, the Granite State boasts the second-lowest rate of church attendance in the entire country. This could prove disastrous for Cruz, given his close call against Trump on Monday.

There are a couple of left wing nut jobs on here you all need to crawl back under your rocks.
I’d vote for Cruz over the two bad democrat choices but He’s not electalbe in a national race !! Trump or Rubio at this point and I’d prefer Trump I’m sick of career politicians !!
.. The government will never change if we keep just swapping offices among the same politicians. They are the ones that has gotten the country in the condition it is. It is high time we elect people who have a record of success in business and getting things done, not just talking for a living. Most politicians are lawyers, wordsmiths, confidence men who have studied how to convince others to sees things their way. Regardless of the truth of the matter. Someone who has fresh ideas not constrained with the pressure of political obligations taken on to get this far in government. It just happens. Someone that will make decisions for the good of the country. Not of the party.
Cruz is a lawyer who has spent most of his life in politics. He has held offices in a number of positions on his way up. Corruption is contagious. You have to know that he had help along the way that will influence his decisions when in office. He is owned by Goldman Sachs. They also back Hillary. Elect him nothing will change.
Trump does not have this baggage. He speaks what he thinks not the carefully calculated, politically correct speech of the party line. He owes no one for favors done and that terrifies the GOP. He is not under their control. That is why I like him.
