Super Tuesday Two was supposed to settle the question of whether the Republican Convention this summer was going to be contested.
If Trump lost both Ohio and Florida, a brokered convention was all but guaranteed. If he won both, he would likely enter the convention to win the nomination on the first ballot.
Instead, we got a draw. Trump lost Ohio, but won Florida, and so the question of his path to the nomination is as big a question now as it ever was.
The establishment has now got a more difficult, but not impossible road ahead to steal the nomination from Trump, and they’ve enlisted the full donor class to work out a plan to make it happen.
See what they’re saying to the delegates poised to be at the convention on the next page:
We will ignore it after we vote for Trump.
If this happens I’ll never give another dime to the Republican Party.
I think the nation is desperate. Desperate people do desperate things. Even the best people, normally law abiding, can reach the limit of their patience. Our founding fathers felt the same outrage that we feel now when we think of the GOP stealing the nomination from Trump!
They spent $32+ million on negative Trump ads in Florida. I’m sure it was money taken from taxpayers. You see the results? They are basically saying the American voter no longer has a say so I’m pretty sure it would cause massive civil disobedience.
If the Republican party keeps it up with the attacks on Mr. Trump and try to steal the nomination from him they will lose many supporting them such as my family and it will be the end of the Republican party. I love my country and we need a Donald Trump to help us get back what we use to have.
Of course they will but it won’t work to many people have voted for Trump and I think that if and when they do there will be hell to pay.
In February 2012, the Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act was passed in the Senate by unanimous consent and (as HR 347) approved by the House of Representatives by a lopsided vote of 399-3; the bill was then signed into law by President Obama. This bill was an updating of an existing law, originally enacted in 1971, that restricted access to areas around the president, vice president, or any others under the protection of the Secret Service.
Current federal law (H.R. 347) does not allow for protesting of any type in an area under protection by the Secret Service. It is a crime, punishable by up to a year in prison, to “knowingly… impede or disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions” in locations guarded by the Secret Service, including places where individuals under Secret Service protection are temporarily located.
Furthermore, there are various State and local statutes that cover security for private events, which include ALL political rallies, as they are paid for by private parties. They can, and do, remove anybody they want.
They talk of Trump causing riots, they are causing riots Washington is causing the problems, you can not hide any longer Washington, get out of the way, we are coming, the American people
Man republician elites are just asking for this to explode. The voters have spoken listen to them or face what happens.
I believe “Riot” was a poor choice of words (that happens when you don’t depend on politically correct prepared remarks). While I would not “riot” I would definitely “REVOLT” against the Republican party if they pervert the process.
