Jeff Gray, a long time activist in recording police, has recently released a video showing how he got through DUI checkpoints without saying a word.
His novel idea was to hang a plastic bag outside his rolled up window with the following:
1 – A message stating:
I remain silent
No searches
I want my lawyer
2 – Driver´s license
3 – Registration
4 – Insurance Information
How did police respond upon his pulling up to the checkpoints with this bag hanging outside his car?

In Louisiana, personal vehicles are considered an extension of the home. Also a castle law state. You pick and choose which rights you’re willing to give up, and I’ll choose to keep mine.
By the way, this isn’t about driving. It’s about invasion of privacy without cause.
If a note says to call their lawyer, shouldn’t the police call the lawyer and wait for them to arrive?
That, or realize they have no legal reason to detain them, and let them go.
If you are not DUI and are obeying driving and motor vehicle laws why do you need to fear the police? Encouraging drunk drivers, people who don’t carry liability insurance or pay their property taxes is irresponsible.
Oh yeah? Can you drive hot dog faced?
I’m up for checkpoints we have in NJ and if I was a policemen and some $#%&!@*hole pul this $#%&!@* on me dam right I’ll pull him over and call his lawyer just to bust balls and I would take my time to and yes we do have some thick head cops to but we have to respect the uniform
I have no fear of police. I also have a responsibility to protect my Liberty. Many officers agree, but they wouldn’t respond. They have orders to follow, and I respect that.
I’ve heard of rose colored gl$#%&!@*es, but Oscar Mayer colored gl$#%&!@*es? Do not let this person drive, Duston. 🙂
Yeah and police harrasment is illegal..whats your point..?
