Why build your own low-cost solar panels?
We all like to be self-sufficient. After all, who knows what tomorrow may bring?
When the power goes out it’s great to have alternative ways to get jobs done, but there are always some tasks that are simpler, easier, and even safer with electricity!
This video shows you the easy steps and simple tools that anyone can use to get up and running with their own solar panels and like the man says, the more of them you build, the easier they get.
So keep your low-power and no-power plans at the ready for a blackout, but why not prep some panels, too, just in case?
Don’t forget to share this article with friends so they can build panels, too.
The government will probably ban solar panels so the US will be dependent on how much sunlight that we can “harvest.”
Would love to be able to do this.
Without subsidies solar cost more than just buying electricity and there is a huge upfront cost. To power a house (not the a/c). You would need about 10 x 200 watt panels. 36″ x42″ each. And the would all need to be on the south facing roof that has a 30 deg angle

Porter Leroy Maxwell, I power my whole house with 20 solar panels on my roof…
BUT we tried this way of “making your own” complete waste of time & money.. those cells are so damn fragile it unreal.. save youself some time and money, do some research and buy your panels off ebay… we are working on our second array at the moment
