Georgia has become the first state in the country to pass a historic resolution to reign in our overreaching federal government, which is being promoted nationwide by the Convention of States Project (“COS”).
SR736 calls for an Article V Convention of States to propose amendments to the United States Constitution to limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government and establish term limits for federal officials.
State Representative Buzz Brockway (R-Lawrenceville) states “I’m proud Georgia has taken the lead on the very important work of restoring our Republic. An Article V Convention of States would provide an opportunity for the citizens of this great nation to restore the balance of power between the States and the Federal government. I urge Legislators in the other 49 states to join Georgia and call for a Convention of States for the purpose of proposing amendments to the U.S. constitution.”
Time for the rest of the states to follow suit and reign in this tyrannical government!
