This video details how to make a super-efficient water heater thermo siphoning process. Not only are all the parts he uses cheap or free discards, the project does not need electricity or solar power.
To match this video you will need:
Copper Tubing
Stove Pipe
Water heater
Valves
And of course, water and something to burn.
See the process video after the break and then get started on your own source of endless hot water:
This would be better for radiant style heating.
Don’t have to use much wood to heat it up, once it is heated and goes into the insulated hot water tank, it will stay hot in there for a long time. Your electric does not stay on all the time when heating up with electric does it ? The hot water will stay hot for hours in that insulated tank, mine will.

This is so outdated it should have been embarr$#%&!@*ing for the gentleman that went to the trouble of making a video.
1. I installed one in my barbecue pit about 1979.
2. Research antique heaters same technology.
3. Go to San Miguel Mexico, they are using the same system and without the benefit of pumped water.

and when you are making hot water with this when the grid os down and emergency services are not running, and you scald the hell out of yourself, you run a bigger risk of infection and death from this stupid idea. No temp control. And that’s if you are smart enough to not turn this into a closed system where the tank could blow up on your if you don’t have a proper Relief valve and expansion tank. There is a good reason we don’t make hot water like this anymore.
