Updates about the fallout from Fukushima are no where in the mainstream media. Yet, all the radiation that got dumped into the Pacific Ocean didn’t just disappear. From Alaska extending down through the Southern California coastline, high levels of radioactive cesium, have been detected.

Hope you like paying higher power costs and burning alot more coal and natural gas oh and you must love fracking….
Constantly contaminating sea water?
Ban nuclear? Hope you like paying higher power costs and burning alot more coal and natural gas oh and you must love fracking….
It’s flushing in as out as cooling source, there is no containment, in short “it leaks big time” it’s still hot as a firecracker!
Depending on the radiation, it does different things to your body. Some hot particles are muscle seekers and bond to pot$#%&!@*ium (the heart) other hot particles such as cesium likes to hide in bones. So no, not all radiation is the same and no, Fukushima’s radiation is not similar to all background radiation..you might want to do more research. As it is diluted, the leak continues and the concentrations will increase over time. That’s why the pacific ocean seems dead and sea life more sensitive to radiation is dying off. You don’t just immediately die from radiation, don’t exaggerate things to make your point.
Haha Connor…. Where is your masters degree or doctorate degree? I think I’ll stick with the experts opinion on the matter.. Not some kid who used Wikipedia lol
Connor, you are confusing radionuclides and radiation. Radiation is energy from the radioactive decay of radionuclides. Radiation is commonly electrons (beta-), electromagnetic (x-ray, gamma ray), or neutron. Radiation is radiation, regardless of source, the only possible difference between sources is type of decay and energy level. What you are describing is the tendency of specific radionuclides to distribute in an organism’s tissues and bioac$#%&!@*ulate. Obviously, this causes tissue specific doses, which can potentially manifest itself in tissue specific damage or disease.
Note the levels claimed in California. These levels are many orders of magnitude lower than EPA guidelines for THOSE SPECIFIC CESIUM RADIONUCLIDES in drinking water.
If you’re truly interested in learning the potential for naturally occurring radioactivity, do a little research on Ramsar Iran.
Here comes Godzilla….
That’s not the way the cooling system works dan….
