Former Grand Mosque Imam Confesses: All Muslims Who Embrace Koran Embraces ISIS

The emergence of a violent, intolerant, murderous strain of Islam seems to have caught Western intellectuals and Leftists by surprise, and they still insist that what is exhibited by groups like ISIS is not truly “Islamic.” Many, like former president Barack Obama, will even refuse to use Islam and terrorist in the same sentence.

But rather than thinking that Islam and terrorism do not share a common heritage, it may be more appropriate to recognize that “moderate,” tolerant and multicultural Islam is the outlier.  There are millions of non-violent Muslims in the world today, but the question is whether the doctrine truly promotes peace or simply waits for the right time to force itself onto non-Muslim populations when numbers are sufficient.

While Islamic clerics have differing views, and no single cleric can decisively called the “leader,” some of the more prominent Imams often share perspectives that are more than troubling. Sheikh Adel Al-Kilbani, former Imam of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, indicated recently that ISIS and all Muslims embrace the same beliefs that are found in the Qu’ran. Asked if the emergence of ISIS was a result of “Islamic revivalism,” the Saudi cleric responded, “There’s no doubt about this, no doubt.”
