#FlushTarget Campaign Against 75 Target Stores Mobilizes

“Plummeting stock, a million signature boycott, and now a male voyeur stalking women in Target”, writes Truth and Action, “only underscores the outrage over their transgender bathroom policy.”  As news stories continue to break about, it will demonstrate what protestors have been saying, that the Target bathroom policy puts women and children in harms way of sexual predators.

One incident reported in recent days was of Candice Spivey was approached in Target, by Jeffrey Polizzi, who began asking her indecent and quite inappropriate questions.  She recognized him from a previous situation two years prior and asked him, while on video, “Do you remember running into me at the grocery store?” to which he responded by dropping his shopping basket in women’s bathing suit section and running away.

Truth and Action stated, “Apparently retail giant Target thought they had a public relations issue by not allowing the 0.25% of the population that identifies as transgender to use the restroom of their choice, prompting them to change this policy.  It turns out this is nothing compared to the reaction of a significant portion of the other 99.75% of Americans who don’t wish to share — or for their children to share — restrooms or changing rooms with men who identify as women.

Our opposition to Target’s policy is not about transgender persons.  Its comes from the fact that Target’s policy opens the door for sexual predators to take advantage of women and children.  Most Target stores currently have unisex bathrooms.  These bathrooms are available to individuals who self-identify as transgender persons.  But this was not good enough for Target. Target had to show they were “progressive” and “politically correct”, even if it meant endangering women and children!

A traveling billboard campaign against Target is underway.  Using an ad on the side of a semi-truck, the group hopes to educate Minnesotans across eh state about their concerns, stating that this is not an attack against the LGBT community, but is an attack on the policy opening doors for predators.

This is a defining moment for our society. If Target’s policy is allowed to stand, every major retailer will likely adopt a similar policy.  However, if enough of us take action NOW, we can stop this from happening by getting Target to rescind this terrible policy.

We must convince Target that its in the best interest of their company, their shareholders, their customers and the communities they serve to rescind its uni-sex bathroom policy.  Only YOU can make a difference by taking one or more of the actions listed below (just click on a button for the details).

Please note the three most effect steps you can take are to 1) Boycott Target, 2) Shred Your Red Card and 3) Cancel Your Scripts.
