The case of Michael Brown and Ferguson, Missouri provides a textbook example of what happens when liberal politicians and their lapdogs in the mainstream media decide to present a story the way they want to — facts be damned.
After white Ferguson Police Department officer, Darren Wilson shot and killed the black teenager who just committed a strong-arm robbery of a convenience store, the White House and the media wasted no time in portraying the incident as yet another case of a racist white police officer gunning down an innocent young black man for the sole crime of being black. And it wasn’t just ultra-liberal organizations such as MSNBC and the New York Times who ran with the “racist cop” story. Even CNN — who attempts to maintain some semblance of fairness — featured a panel of commentators with their hands raised claiming “hands up, don’t shoot.”
This “hands up, don’t shoot” narrative was quickly debunked by forensic evidence and eyewitness testimony, leading investigators to conclude that Officer Wilson shot Brown in self-defense.
Since then, the Ferguson PD has cleaned house in an attempt to court good will among the community’s black residents. Last week, the city of Ferguson swore in its first African-American police chief — one who makes no secret his desire to change what he believes is a racist criminal justice system. To read Chief Delrish Moss’ warning to his fellow officers — not to criminals — continue reading on the next page:
What do you expect? Sadly, there are very few black men like Sheriff Clarke, Allen B. West, and Ben Carson. Many of them have swallowed hook, line, and sinker the lie that they are poor oppressed people; and it is white people oppressing them. This guy appears to fit that mold.
This guy is a perfect example of why civil service protections were created. He is a political tool, to be used for or against his masters friends and detractors. Political chiefs, chiefs who skip from city to city, they exist for one reason only, corrupt politicians or spineless ones. Civil service protections will generally require that one or more courts agree that an employee has been terminated for explicit misconduct or a failure to perform a lawful duty. Law enforcement isn’t a popularity contest. If you don’t like the laws you live under, change them. If not, you owe unwavering support for those you charge with evenly enforcing them, baring willful misconduct, not perceived misconduct.
Real leaders inspire their men to follow. They don’t threaten them and intimidate. You sir will always be worthless hollow shell of a man unworthy of your position.
I don’t think he said anything wrong and if he means it to be equal for all then no problem. But the furgason police said the pay was too low to keep the staff happy. Now he should define respect and show how to give it and earn it to the neigjborhood. I am sure it will be just like Mayberry very soon.
I hope they all quit
I look at it differently Benaiah. He’s simply telling them that they will be accountable for their actions (no matter the color of their skin). Something that has been lost in our PC society for many years now. I feel that this is the core issue in almost every problem we are experiencing in the U.S. It used to be the opposite; we didn’t have such discourse back then…
You don’t have to tell grown men they are accountable for their actions… he is propagating racism and should be terminated.
Who decided he was to be the chief? How many blacks are in the police force there? Pretty bad when you get a chief threatening his fellow officers.
Looks like Ferguson is up for grabs by which ever gang is there!
Police chiefs are polticians. His words were said to appease the community. They are words that can be said by every chief in the country. Hopefully he had supportive words for his officers in a special briefing. He is really a lame duck chief, having been promoted based on skin color and not achievement, and he knows it. He will be under a microscope by the citizens and his officers…not an easy place to be. He can be fired based on an unhappy populace and he can be fired by a vote of no confidence by his officers. Hopefully he’ll prove to be an asset for all concerned.
