The unholy alliance between environmentalists and government agencies such as the Bureau of Land Management are sometimes exposed for what they are, simply a greedy land grab that cheats private owners and bullies them into submission rather than face the behemoth federal government.
Most citizens have no idea that the federal government owns more than 50 percent of the land mass in 11 western states, and they absolutely could never conjure up why the federal government needs to control that much land. In fact, it seems much more economic and manageable to have the various states control most of the public land within a particular state, but the videos below the bravado and the admission that what is really going on is out and out theft.

President Barack Obama’s presidency has been a constant feature of executive overreach, which is clearly seen in his penchant for grabbing land for the federal government.
After Obama seized over 1.5 millions of acres of land in Utah and Nevada toward the end of December, that put the total amount of land and water added under his presidency at 554,590,000 acres of land and water, a record amount for any president.
Gary Gregg, who directs the University of Louisville’s McConnell Center, wrote in The Hill that the Antiquities Act, which is what gives presidents the authority to seize land, was used “sparingly” until Bill Clinton used it to declare 5.7 millions of acres of land under the federal government’s authority. George W. Bush built on that to seize 214,800,000 acres of water, and then Obama seized more than both Clinton and Bush combined.
