The Attorney’s general for Texas, Kansas and Louisiana filed a joint lawsuit on Thursday against the federal government in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
In March, states were first notified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that they would be assessed a Health Insurance Providers Fee – “a lump sum on all covered health insurance providers collectively, starting at $8 billion total in 2014 and increasing to $14.3 billion by 2018” – according to the lawsuit.
According the lawsuit, the fee was meant to generate revenue from the loss Congress expected insurance providers to receive by increasing enrollment, which would help pay the subsidies. The consistent downgrading of Obamacare enrollment projections goes to show you how unpopular it is with the people. And as more of these fines and taxes are brought to light, we could be seeing a lot more stories like this one.

Your bias is showing. Obamacare is not at all highly unpopular, except with the Right Wing:
“The gap isn’t large—43 percent see it favorably versus 42 percent unfavorably—and it falls within the survey’s margin of sampling error.
Opinion still is sharply divided by party, with 70 percents of Democrats viewing the law favorably and 75 percent of Republicans viewing it unfavorably. Independents fall in the middle; 42 percent like it and 46 percent don’t.”
No surprise… You RWers only print comments that support your position. Must be nice living in your little fantasy world.
