Even though Wal-Mart is a colossal money maker, it barely pays it’s workers enough to live comforably, forcing employees to go on food stamps, Medicaid and other social welfare programs.
Wal-Mart pulls in $36 million dollars per hour – being the largest seller of food in the world. Yet, they don’t take care of their employees.
Through your tax dollars you are, in essence, handing a Wal-Mart cashier your money but not even getting so much as an empty bag in return.

B******t. I HAVE done the research and each Wal-Mart costs it’s local area almost $1 million per year in benefit payouts. What POSITION does your “friend” hold, because I can tell you right now that I have a cousin in MANAGEMENT at Wal-Mart, and yeah, she makes a decent wage, and gets better benefits than all of the HOURLY employees. But that’s the key – it is the hourly employees that get shafted, and I KNOW because I have had many friends and acquaintances whom have been hourly employees. They work those people like dogs, oftentimes calling them “part-time” and curtailing hours just long enough so that they don’t have to pay for benes. Even worse, some of the same employees who receive benes, like food stamps, turn around and do their grocery shopping at Wal-Mart, giving them even MORE of our hard-earned tax dollars. It is a FACT that Wal-Marts DESTROY local economies by driving local businesses out. It is a fact that they buy goods at cut-throat prices from countries that still use child and slave labor. It is a FACT that they refuse to business with banks via letter of credit to keep a corner on the market and it is a FACT that they bully their suppliers due to their size.
Anyone who doesn’t know these things is either willfully and obtusely ignorant of easily-researched fact, or a paid government troll. So which are you?
