Even though Wal-Mart is a colossal money maker, it barely pays it’s workers enough to live comforably, forcing employees to go on food stamps, Medicaid and other social welfare programs.
Wal-Mart pulls in $36 million dollars per hour – being the largest seller of food in the world. Yet, they don’t take care of their employees.
Through your tax dollars you are, in essence, handing a Wal-Mart cashier your money but not even getting so much as an empty bag in return.

Hmm leave the homeless on the streets and our vets but subsidise Walmart when the rake in millions anyway. Sounds like something the goverment would do.
Walmart pays less, it’s insurance is minimal, pay is low–and we give a Walmart tax money. I see something wrong with this posture.
why should they have to pay for your health care???most companies offered their employee’s a good rate on health insurance but the gov took the power of choice from the employer…not a good employer means you have the employees with little or no skills working there and the more experianced people move on to better pay more benefits ect
Did you even read the article? WM doesn’t get a DIME of this money.. it is the supposed amount of welfare that the employees get. Maybe WM should hire only full-time employees, do away with the part-timers and call it good.

most that CHOOSE to work part-time, I know several people working for WM that seem to live fine without assistance
READ THE ARTICLE!!!! It’s not money GIVEN TO WM!!! it is money that the ones that choose to stay part-time and work as few hours as possible get in the form of welfare..
