Outsider candidates in both parties have bemoaned what they believe is a crooked campaign system, from the outsets of their campaigns. On the Democratic side, socialist Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has been a staunch opponent of big money in politics. Sanders often boasts to supporters that he is the only candidate without a Super PAC — a claim that the Washington Post has found to be misleading at best. However, Sanders’ campaign has mostly thrived on numerous smaller, individual donations.
Donald Trump takes a similar approach to big money and Super PACs as Sanders, but also has a unique perspective — he used to be one of those big donors buying influence. One of the most important aspects of Trump’s appeal is that he cannot be bought off by rich donors because he’s “really really rich.”
Now, in a report sure to raise some eyebrows among Trump supporters, the Federal Election Commission (FEC) is investigating why a Ted Cruz Super PAC gave $500k to his then-rival Carly Fiorina’s Super PAC. Was some sort of deal struck with the woman who is now his running mate? Continue reading on the next page to read what the FEC is saying:
Of course it is a crooked campaign. He is as corrupt as most of the professional politicians and he’s is going to look like Pinocchio if he doesn’t quit lying!
Did she get anything else.
Because they are both corrupt; they are both greedy; they are both liars; America NEEDS Trump.
William Benoit Maybe I misunderstood your comment, It really sounded to me like you were making a bit of fun at TRUMP supporters.
It’s OK robert
William Benoit Thanks ! And the picture is worth sharing!!!
It might have been to pay her off for sending out the nude photos of Trump’s wife.
HUSH MONEY!!!!!!!!’
Whether FEC finds it okay or illegal for two candidates vieing for same office at the same time GIVE money from one to the other – who drops out all of a sudden – and then later on is picked for VP is possitively recking of collusion and crooked. This was done to get the female votes as HE knew he would not get many. LIEN TED at it again, I guess.
“Super PACs are legally allowed to give money to other super PACs – they are only prohibited from donating directly to any political campaign.” quoted from the article here. SO WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL????????????? Super PACS are independent groups that support a candidates or policy. They are independent of the candidates campaign and by law cannot interact with the campaign. Since Pacs can give money legally and have nothing to do with the candidate why they do something has nothing to do with the candidate, the question is irrelevant. .
