Owners Cynthia and Robert Gifford of the Liberty Ridge Farm in New York have been fined $13,000 for refusing to host a gay wedding.
The Gifford’s host approximately 12 weddings at their farm per year, but refused to host one for a lesbian couple as they feel it would violate their religious beliefs.
But the New York State Division of Human Rights ruled that because the Liberty Ridge Farm is open to the public for specific events, like weddings, it must be classified as a “public accommodation.” This places the farm under a sexual orientation non-discrimination state ordinance.

I hope you two have a long and happy marriage, I really do. We all should have that right. But suing was wrong.”

People should not be forced to serve or service homosexual anything. They have a right to exist, not run our world.
It is up to the place they chose for the wedding to refuse service. However the farmers who refused knew they faced fines for this decision so I cannot feel sorry for them. If the surrounding community disagrees with the farmers decision it will cost them even more money because people will stop using them. So another decision has to be made by the farmer. This is known as consequences
