Owners Cynthia and Robert Gifford of the Liberty Ridge Farm in New York have been fined $13,000 for refusing to host a gay wedding.
The Gifford’s host approximately 12 weddings at their farm per year, but refused to host one for a lesbian couple as they feel it would violate their religious beliefs.
But the New York State Division of Human Rights ruled that because the Liberty Ridge Farm is open to the public for specific events, like weddings, it must be classified as a “public accommodation.” This places the farm under a sexual orientation non-discrimination state ordinance.

Some activist judges need to go.
it’s always be law that i know of that you can refuse service to anyone , i see signs like that posted all over saying certain things or no service
This is outrageous, they own this business, and should not be forced to do something they feel so strongly against, Get the government out of private business
Will people please grow up! Shame on the couple being wed, the judge imposing the fine, and the owners. Government should keep its nose out of this issue, and the couple should quit running and whining to the government, and the owners should take the money for the rental and shut up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good! Teach those bigots a lesson, too bad it wasnt more
Absolutely out of line? I’d be in the loft with an M60 machine gun, don’t even care what they are, government is wrong! !
