Owners Cynthia and Robert Gifford of the Liberty Ridge Farm in New York have been fined $13,000 for refusing to host a gay wedding.
The Gifford’s host approximately 12 weddings at their farm per year, but refused to host one for a lesbian couple as they feel it would violate their religious beliefs.
But the New York State Division of Human Rights ruled that because the Liberty Ridge Farm is open to the public for specific events, like weddings, it must be classified as a “public accommodation.” This places the farm under a sexual orientation non-discrimination state ordinance.

This is another reason Obamas policies suck and why big businesses are leaving.
Tell the Judge to have wedding at his house.
It’s private property, they can host whoever they like!
I’m glad the judge found them guilty. If it’s open to the public, and openly advertised as such, you can’t chose which members of the public you want to serve. I work for the government in a public building, so you could imagine the uproar that might ensue if tomorrow I put a sign on the front door saying “No gays/blacks/Caucasians/Inuit/physically disabled people allowed? If you’re open to the public, you serve ALL the public, not just the ones your hateful, bigoted part of your mind thinks are okay.
outrage
This is what you get for having a Gay judge, the judge just came out of the closet .
Gay couples are now purposely looking for Christian businesses, just so they can sue. Of course, they hope enough suits will go their way and force us to accept their “marriages” in every way. They could easily choose any other business, and probably patronize a gay baker or photographer or venue, who I’m sure would love the business. Sad the way the courts are taking away our free speech and free religious expression law by law.
That’s the Obama Nation for you! disgraceful act on the part of the government…just goes to show We don’t ever really own anything, but just barrow it till we are gone and then someone else barrows it all over…
Wth. I would do the same as the farmers. It’s their business and it’s their decision!!’
Why ? It’s his right ….
