Owners Cynthia and Robert Gifford of the Liberty Ridge Farm in New York have been fined $13,000 for refusing to host a gay wedding.
The Gifford’s host approximately 12 weddings at their farm per year, but refused to host one for a lesbian couple as they feel it would violate their religious beliefs.
But the New York State Division of Human Rights ruled that because the Liberty Ridge Farm is open to the public for specific events, like weddings, it must be classified as a “public accommodation.” This places the farm under a sexual orientation non-discrimination state ordinance.

start suing them back
You sure this isn’t “animal farm?” Some animals are more equal than others? This is about as unconstitutional as it gets. The precedents being set here are going to have grave consequences for the future in regards to property rights. These people have a privately owned business run out of their home. They should be able to deny service to anyone they want for any reason. If you don’t like it then don’t do business with them. All this is, is in your face bullying by radical gays.
The communist under these political idiots are leading the rest of the country to rebellion and war.
Counter sue the government!
that’s bull$#%&!@*….
This causes people to HATE gays. It doesn’t bind the wounds of our nation, but divides instead.
BS!!!
Big time BS! This is not only does cause people to hate them but it causes people to hate the government as well.!
A private business has the RIGHT to refuse whom ever they want !!! If someone doesn’t like it, they can go somewhere Else. It’s their business and can run it the way they want.
