Owners Cynthia and Robert Gifford of the Liberty Ridge Farm in New York have been fined $13,000 for refusing to host a gay wedding.
The Gifford’s host approximately 12 weddings at their farm per year, but refused to host one for a lesbian couple as they feel it would violate their religious beliefs.
But the New York State Division of Human Rights ruled that because the Liberty Ridge Farm is open to the public for specific events, like weddings, it must be classified as a “public accommodation.” This places the farm under a sexual orientation non-discrimination state ordinance.

How does the stupid government even get involved in this? They have NO right whatsoever to force anyone to do business with anyone else.
New York State Division of Human Rights ARE RUN BY $#%&!@*S!
The pendulum does swing both ways.
I remember seeing signs tht read:”we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone”. Have we lost that right also?
So much for freedom of choice here in America….
We all have religious freedom….It’s in the U.S. Constitution. The Gifford’s should have that right also. After all they are not infringing upon anyone.
What in the hell is happening to this country, PC is going to be the death of this once great country.
New York-land of Hillary Clinton
THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY NO
Ridiculous fine! It’s the Gifford’s farm, and they should be able to call all of the shots, without some beaucrats sticking their noses where they don’t belong!
