Owners Cynthia and Robert Gifford of the Liberty Ridge Farm in New York have been fined $13,000 for refusing to host a gay wedding.
The Gifford’s host approximately 12 weddings at their farm per year, but refused to host one for a lesbian couple as they feel it would violate their religious beliefs.
But the New York State Division of Human Rights ruled that because the Liberty Ridge Farm is open to the public for specific events, like weddings, it must be classified as a “public accommodation.” This places the farm under a sexual orientation non-discrimination state ordinance.

This is a bunch of $#%&!@*
Wrong
Don’t pay it you have the rite to refuse to let them be on your property, more bullcrap
Maybe they just should have told ‘them’ that the farm wasn’t available that day….closed for renovations. It’s no surprise that c**p like this would happen in New York though. Maybe the lesbian couple should be fined for violating the farmers religious rights.
