Owners Cynthia and Robert Gifford of the Liberty Ridge Farm in New York have been fined $13,000 for refusing to host a gay wedding.
The Gifford’s host approximately 12 weddings at their farm per year, but refused to host one for a lesbian couple as they feel it would violate their religious beliefs.
But the New York State Division of Human Rights ruled that because the Liberty Ridge Farm is open to the public for specific events, like weddings, it must be classified as a “public accommodation.” This places the farm under a sexual orientation non-discrimination state ordinance.

Unfortunately with the government that we have now, they opened the door when they took money for a service. That’s just one of the freedoms that we have lost by allowing the federal government control of our lives. It comes with wanting the feds to protect us.
should have been a bigger fine !!
Come and ask me to host a gay wedding and see how that works our.
It should be the owners of the farm/business decision not the state, this is wrong. This is not gay rights it is the whiners and bitchers of gimmee what I want or else, this c**p sickens me.
