Owners Cynthia and Robert Gifford of the Liberty Ridge Farm in New York have been fined $13,000 for refusing to host a gay wedding.
The Gifford’s host approximately 12 weddings at their farm per year, but refused to host one for a lesbian couple as they feel it would violate their religious beliefs.
But the New York State Division of Human Rights ruled that because the Liberty Ridge Farm is open to the public for specific events, like weddings, it must be classified as a “public accommodation.” This places the farm under a sexual orientation non-discrimination state ordinance.

they should be allowed to have or have not any weeding they choose in their business…this shoving the gay thing down peoples throats is getting way out of hand, kinda like trying to make us like the Lil Black Hitler in the whitehouse
An OUTRAGE for sure. I’d fight this in court to the end.
LAST ONE TO LEAVE NEW YORK TURN OUT THE LIGHTS!!
If this is private property and not open to the public then this farmer’s rights have been violated; however, if it is a private venue open to the public that is questionable in practice but still the right of the farmer to deny when and whomever he desires either way I think his rights were violated an he should be suing….
ygbkm
Ridiculous.
right is wrong, wrong is right. up is down, down is up.
Our constitution states everyone should be allowed to o have their own beliefs, BUT you cannot force that onto others.
I thought you could decide what you like on your own property.
I am so glad freedom of religion is not being stomped on. If they were a non Christian business the courts would have ruled in there favor.
