Owners Cynthia and Robert Gifford of the Liberty Ridge Farm in New York have been fined $13,000 for refusing to host a gay wedding.
The Gifford’s host approximately 12 weddings at their farm per year, but refused to host one for a lesbian couple as they feel it would violate their religious beliefs.
But the New York State Division of Human Rights ruled that because the Liberty Ridge Farm is open to the public for specific events, like weddings, it must be classified as a “public accommodation.” This places the farm under a sexual orientation non-discrimination state ordinance.

why his place,he don,t have to do it
I agree with Joe.
The government is sticking their nose way too far up American’s asses. Only we the people can take America back. As long as we let them control us, they will gain more and more control.
good for him. It is there rights not to.
Who owns the property? Don’t they have the right to allow who and what occurs on their property? I’m sure there are more urgent matters to deal with beside siding with these unwelcome guests. People living in Cuba, N.Korea, and China don’t have any rights but we are the land of the free and freedom to choose is in this category. Is this the only place these weirdos could go for their ceremony? San Francisco would welcome them with open arms. Seems like the atheists and gays are taking over our country our at least the powers to be are siding with them. Time to replace all of them. GD
Time to start an animal farm
While I don’t believe in discrimination, I wouldn’t spend time or money where I’m not welcome…..not even if the government made them let me in.
too many pop ups for me, I like the old signs that read “WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE” and that would be it said and done
