Ron Paul and Donald Trump share much in common. They both have similar bases, have distinct anti-establishment appeal, and reject American involvement in foreign wars. But they don’t necessarily agree on that last point when it comes to Syria.
After Trump made the decision to strike the airfield that launched Bashar al-Assad’s most recent chemical attack, the president claimed that the strike was necessary to protect American interests. Paul doesn’t agree.
In fact, Paul and Trump don’t seem to agree on much of anything when it comes to Syria. While the Trump administration reportedly has video proving that Assad was behind the attack, Paul believes that the mission was a false flag. According to the former congressman, there is “zero chance” that Assad deliberately gassed his own people.

Jackie Lentz Rhodes no one has told me to sit down and shut up since i was a kid. and I’m certainly not going to take orders from you.
So, you are anti semetic, and anti american. That is obvious from your post. Next, explain to me how nuclear weapons are an american thing since Russia, Iran, and many other countries have them. If you are referring to ww2, the bombs used were atomic=not nuclear.
Who flew the aircraft???/ ISIS? Unlikely! Russians? Doubt it! Rebels? Would have to be prior service rebels and they still would have to access the aircraft, load them and fly them. Hell NO! It was Assad’s air force…….had to be!
Unless Assad is, himself, dead there’s always a chance he attacked his own people.. does he not have a history of doing so?
Yeah, well, this is the same guy that said the bottom was going to fall out of the economy in January, too. It seems that Rand Pauls dad is a bit of a doom-sayer who may not be privy to all the worlds knowledge.
Russia wants prove that Assad did it. Trump never gave him evidence. Also, the rebels that America support have been proven to use chemical weapons in 2013 and tried framing Assad.
Ethan Clark Yes, and note who was president in 2013. A man who wouldn’t know a set up if you spelled it out to him in blocks. Trump is not that stupid. There is a reason that we, as average citizens, will not be told about. Truth does have a way of coming out, and time will tell.
Theresa Winder I agree Obamas foreign policy was horrible. But I believe trump also attacked Syria because he had stocks in the company that made the tomahawk missiles used in the attack. 83,190,000 dollars was spend that night in missiles being fired. For only 23 of them to hit the target killing 4-13 civilians including one child because Assad apparently gassed his own people with no proof. Only a few aircraft destroyed and a radar site.
Ethan Clark The missiles were a stockpile that was already paid for. We were already in the vicinity. Does NOT matter who used the gas. What matters is that the gas was used in the first place. It is inhumane. The target was the airport where the gas was kept. The civilians that were killed in the missile attack should not have been there in the first place.
