Grenfell Tower, a 27 story West London Tower went down in flames 15 minutes. According to one resident, the cause of the inferno was an exploding refrigerator.
Those who managed to flee said it was ‘like hell on earth’ inside as they scrambled over dead bodies and claimed there was no working fire alarm, sprinklers failed and the only staircase out was blocked.
At the height of the blaze petrified residents were seen throwing themselves and their children out of windows to avoid being burned to death – others made ropes by tying bed sheets together or used them as makeshift parachutes and jumped.

Rydon, the firm that carried it out, said its work ‘met all required building control, fire regulation, and health and safety standards’.
London Fire Brigade said the cause of the fire is still being investigated, but several residents reported one man had said it started in his faulty fridge.
6 people have been confirmed dead and over 70 more receiving treatment at a local hospital but authorities warn the death toll will rise exponentially as more bodies are identified.
Bodies strewn through the charred block including in its lobby and undertakers were seen removing the dead in a recovery operation set to last several days.
A community leader working to locate victims, who asked not to be named, believes nobody who lived on the top three residential floors survived and the building could collapse in the next 24 hours.
He said: ‘We have a list of missing people – there are so many. It’s possible there are more than 50, possibly hundreds’.
The circumstances surrounding the fire are still being investigated by authorities.
London Fire Commissioner Dany Cotton told reporters: ‘This is an unprecedented incident. In my 29 years of being a firefighter, I have never ever seen anything of this scale.’
Although many people are pointing out it doesn’t seem plausible that foul play didn’t play at least a small role in starting the fire.
Matt Wrack of the Fire Brigades Union said ‘there was no way a fire should develop in this way’.
But, it’s also important to keep in mind that newer fridges with special “environmentally friendly coolants” to stop global warming have been associated with spontaneous explosions. So a seasoned fire fighter from back in the day might not necessarily associate a good heavy duty fridge with an exploding environmentally friendly fridge also working to cool the earth along with the groceries.
There is a lot to consider. Perhaps “environmentally” friendly fridges are about as “friendly” as jihadist immigrants from radical Islamic countries. But moreover, the most important thing is to keep the victims and families of Grenfell in your prayers. And maybe check what kind of fridge you own.
Luckily no-one was hurt when Kathy Cullingworth’s fridge exploded.

EVEN THE FIREMEN DOES NOT BELIEVE A SINGLE REFRIGERATE EXPLODING COULD CAUSE A 27 STORY BUILDING TO BE TOTALLY ENGULFED IN 15 MINUTES
Global warming has nothing to do with the fire. !!!!!
Idiots will believe anything
Hmmm, note: Don’t keep suicide bomb belts in the ‘fridge!
Isis already took credit for the fire…..smh
New refrigerant R600 is Flammable. I could see it exploding or catching fire. Would not have thought it would have done all of this.
