The CDC has been asserting that Ebola can’t be spread by any other means than by direct contact.
The CDC has been downplaying the threat of Ebola all along, which has prompted one protest from a board-certified emergency trauma physician, Dr. Gil Mobley, who recently wore a Hazmat suit, with “CDC is lying” written on the back, to an Atlanta airport.
The position of the CDC is completely contracticted by a recent report by the World Health Organization.

Since either organization cannot seem to agree nor anybody else about this virus, the most prudent thing to do that ALL can do and is so simple – standard/contact precautions. #1 being hand washing before and after touching anything. Cover nose/mouth when sneezing (but NOT with your hands but into the crook of your arm to minimize the droplets from the sneeze/cough from going into the air. If not feeling well, STAY THE HECK HOME!!!!!! Especially if you have a fever. I am sick and tired of people coming into work and infecting others. All of this goes for ANY type of virus. If it is wet and not yours, don’t touch it! If one has to wear masks, do so. This virus has been around for YEARS, and it is just recently it has spread the way it has for a lot of reasons (#1 being the lack of education overall in how to safely and properly deal with contaminated articles and infected individuals, not to mention in the culture there, many rely on the witch doctors and superstitions). We need to keep clear heads and sensibility about us and not panic. Yes, it is cause for great concern especially since it is rather deadly for many people, and horrific. At the same time, we also have to be realistic and realize that MORE people have died in the US as a result of the flu, and people continue to refuse to get flu vaccines for various reasons and stay home from work when first signs of sickness shows up thereby infecting other people. We have dealt with viruses for YEARS (to include threats of pandemic outbreaks) but we have managed to get through it – EDUCATION is the key overall. And practicing thorough hygiene practices as well.
for safety sake, why not error on the side of caution, then not?
Relax James Elkins You are panicking for no reason. Valerie… how did Obama transport it here? Do your keepers know you’re out? Chad Baldosky. Where did you hear Mr. Duncan. It wasn’t in any of the news items i read or watched. had vomited outside the hospital and dogs locked it up?
Now the cc works for Obama Tom Cannon says. What an idiot. Tom also saw elvis shopping at Kroger for peanut butter yesterday lol
I would like to tell you that if the epidemic gets air born you can kiss life as we know it GOOD BYE!!!!!!
ebola might also spread through the air also
It isn’t airborne technically. Which really its just a fine line and basically it pretty much is. The CDC is splitting hairs on their definition of airborne. Take vitamins. It won’t hurt to get the added boost in our immune systems. Wash your hands don’t talk to anyone you don’t have to and certainly don’t touch them. People think I’m crazy but if Ebola breaks out in OK I will take my kids out of school. The government and media don’t tell all the truth. That is key to remember. Protect yourselves and your families because Lord knows no one else will.
what about food and water supply
I can kinda understand the reason for the downplaying… look at what happened with swine flu…
Common sense says since it’s a virus, it can be spread through indirect contact such as door handles, chair rails, money perhaps, touching of food within stores, sink/water fountains, etc. It’s not rocket science here, it’s medical science for gosh sakes……
