PVC pipe, you will only get ground water, not drinkable in most areas. You might get 20-30 ft. Where ever 1st rock layer is located.
You can do this but you can’t drink the water if in city or county ! Can use it for anything else !
Garden water
who in the world would believe this? I can’t think when you hit rock or clay or shale that pipe would do nothing….
The people who have done it. I have more than once in different states.
I did this last year, I got a 2″ pipe 48′ in the ground. But had an issue with my water level.
I ran a 27 foot municipal well for 40 years. It produced a half million gallons of highest quality water every day.
85% of municipal water is surface water. (POND WATER) most wells will be far easier to treat, and usually have one or two contamination contaminants to treat for. Very few wells need filtration. Franking has been absolutely no problem to us in the water industry yet, but we are watching the situation. The people with flames coming out of their sinks in Pennsylvania conveniently forgot to say that it has been happening for a 100 years!
