Within days of his inauguration, the Trump administration discovered that none of their internal communications were staying secret. This wasn’t exactly surprising, as much of the executive branch was still being staffed by Obama appointees. But as the White House transitions to Trump-appointed teams, the leaks have continued.
Last week, the White House put out a memo about the dangers of leaked information. The memo was quickly leaked.
This embarrassing development was coupled with reports that Secretary Sean Spicer had demanded authority to search White House staff member’s phones in order to discover the culprit.
While it hasn’t been publically stated whether those searches discovered anything damning, the White House seems to have a working theory about the leaker. This week, Donald Trump announced who he thinks is responsible.
