Instead of dumping your used oil, why not use it for heating? You can burn all types of oil – gear, vegetable, engine, hydraulic, transmission, biodiesel, etc.
This heater/stove can be built easily with spare parts and provide you with heat without cost.
It needs a “In-stack” heat exchanger….
I have 600 gallons of waste oil and an oil drip port on my wood stove
Earl what do you think about this?
That is a really fabulous concept! I got a little giggle out of reading the comments… Before I even clicked to see, I just knew that there would be someone who beat up the idea by inserting comments about this device being bad for the environment. Joe Hall how dare you go against Obama and his EPA thugs?? LOL!
Jason says:
“No. If burning properly, these burners are just as clean as your home furnace. When these are going, you don’t have any smoke or soot coming out of the stack.”

yeah, screw leaving any kind of world for our grandchildren, only idiots argue in favor of more pollution, looks like this is their hangout.
EPA, nothing to see here, move along
Harold , that was a. pot of steam. on the stove, the chimney was burning clean , zero smoke. that means zero pollutants.
My one mechanic, has this type of heat in his garage. I never see or smell any fumes or smoke. Wouldn’t have know that he heated the garage with used oil, if we had not talked about it, while he worked on my car.
