Instead of dumping your used oil, why not use it for heating? You can burn all types of oil – gear, vegetable, engine, hydraulic, transmission, biodiesel, etc.
This heater/stove can be built easily with spare parts and provide you with heat without cost.
Darrell Van Hove, sounds like something you’d be doing?
I’ve done energy audits on mechanic shops that burnt –used oil , to heat their building.
The only question I have is how do you ignite the drip burner?
Cool but it looks dangerous.
I use the waste oil to ignight the wood stove
can’t believe the fumes coming from this concoction would be good for the familys health

With no exhaust recovery system, enjoy breathing that stuff! Cheaper on your wallet, terrible for the environment.

I used one for years. Only time others was any smoke or ash was when first started it. I started it on kerosene. Took about 5 gallons a day of waist oil. I burned very clean. The downside was the hotter it got ,the hotter it got. The drip system was something you had to stay on top of or it would melt the heater down. It would get cherry red from the burner pot to the roof.
