As you’ll see later in the video, this is not only cheap, but super simple to do yourself.
With 3 ingredients and about 15 minutes of your time you can make your own laundry detergent for only 20 cents a gallon.
Plus it won’t have any 1,4-Dioxane like much of the store-bought stuff, which even the EPA says is a ‘probable human carcinogen’.
So, you can file this under ‘money saving’, ‘survival tactics’ and ‘healthier living’ as well!
Ready to see how to make your own detergent? Move to the next page, then watch and learn:
is it good for front loading washers?
What about high efficiency? Does anyone know? As usual I can’t get volume so could someone please send me the ingredients and other pertinent directions. I did see the video.
Barbara Thierry, you can use this in an HE machine, I use it in mine all the time. Here is a link to a site that is similar, it’s the Dugger’s recipe:)

want to try that
Whats the ingredients? Don’t wanna watch the video.
And measurements
I too would like the ‘recipe’. Sounds great.
DECENTLY GONNA TRY IT …..
I made homemade laundry soap, using the same ingredients, but with only limited water. The process was a little more work, but the finished product was much more condensed and only took 1 tablespoon per load. However, I didn’t think that it got my clothes as clean as my regular detergent. (Kitchen towels, dishcloths, hot pads, etc. were not clean.) I use some every now and then so I don’t waste it, but I probably won’t make it again, unless I’m desperate.
and while you are mixing it up your child drinks one of the chemicals
