As you’ll see later in the video, this is not only cheap, but super simple to do yourself.
With 3 ingredients and about 15 minutes of your time you can make your own laundry detergent for only 20 cents a gallon.
Plus it won’t have any 1,4-Dioxane like much of the store-bought stuff, which even the EPA says is a ‘probable human carcinogen’.
So, you can file this under ‘money saving’, ‘survival tactics’ and ‘healthier living’ as well!

Aymee Lauren Childress
We should do this.
Elena lets do it!
Can one add some scent to it? Or does the smell depend on the bar of soap you use ?
It uses Arm and Hammer Washing Soda!!
I THINK if you use essential oils from health stores should be ok; can try sample a cup of soap and put several drops shake and smell til your likeness
where to get the bar of soap
Use Zote soap , its in the detergent isle . I prefer the pink .
Been making it for years, giant five gallown buckets for practically nothing and it way way way better on your washing machine and your clothes. Everything will last longer. Nothing beats Tide though lol
Cheap and won’t harm the environment….DAWN dishwashing liquid. One medium bottle lasts me a month.
Using DAWN dish washing liquid in your clothes washer can ruin your machine. With its grease cutting ability it will actually wash away the materials that keep the seals working properly, or so I have been told by appliance repair person. He did say homemade laundry soap is fine, but to NEVER use DAWN in your washing machine.
Tannie Cady Margaret Fretwell does this!!!
