The warm summer months never last forever. Soon it’s time to look for a way to bring a little extra warmth into the home and this simple solar heater is a great project to do just that. It’s made of metal cans, steel or aluminum, and can produce a surprisingly strong and consistent airflow upwards of 140F.
Even on a heavy snow day you’re looking at somewhere around 75-85F.
Best of all, this simple project requires just a few common parts and many of them can simply be re-purposed from your regular recycling. Watch the project come together in the fully-detailed video on the NEXT PAGE:
Duh. Where Is the mention of “flat black spray paint for the surface of the metal cans” .
Tried it in Ohio. Waste of time. Did not work
Tracey, Kurt would have sooooo done this. Tyler, heat your home. I want one in all the rooms. 140° man warm up quick.
And was invented by a native indian boy to heat his busted trailer before extreme home makeover built his family a home.
At Rod Hoesing, this looks like something you could do, for next winter!
Built one! It works!
Can’t watch it.:{
I have one in the shed, that I built yrs ago. In the north east when its below 30 to below 0 outside and no sun shine, all you get is a cold draft.
How long will it stay that warm for? A few hours? All day? Does it heat the place at night?
One of the most stupidest devices I’ve every seen.
